csa – community supported agriculture in gainesville
The Siembra Team is super excited to work with our community members! We love sharing the knowledge and the food of the farm. There is no experience necessary, all are welcome!
We ask that you please arrive on time so that you can be included in our meetings to get a better idea of how the farm works and receive a clear explanation of the tasks for the day. In exchange for your time volunteering on the farm we will supply you with veggies! We suggest volunteering for ~4 hours per week in exchange for enough veggies to last you through the week. In order for you to gain the most from your experience volunteering at Siembra we ask that you commit to coming weekly or every other week. Coming to the farm consistently will help you understand farming in a more complete and cohesive way. We also rely on the help from our volunteers to keep the farm running.
You will need:
Completed waiver (Siembra Volunteer Waiver)
Reusable bag (to take your veggies home in!)
Close toed shoes
Long pants (recommended)
Hat (strongly recommended)
Zinc Oxide or other natural sunscreens (recommended)
Gardening gloves (optional)
