Mugwort

Calming Mugwort Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 mL) of water

  • 1 tablespoon of fresh, chopped mugwort leaves

  • Optional: Honey or another sweetener to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the leaves: Thoroughly wash the mugwort leaves. Chop them finely to maximize the release of flavor and beneficial compounds.

  2. Boil water: In a small saucepan or teapot, bring one cup of water to a boil.

  3. Steep the tea: Pour the boiling water directly over the fresh mugwort leaves in a mug or pot.

  4. Infuse: Let the mugwort steep for 10–15 minutes. For a less intense flavor, shorten the steeping time.

  5. Strain: Use a fine-mesh strainer to remove all the plant material from the liquid.

  6. Sweeten and serve: Stir in honey if desired and enjoy your freshly brewed mugwort tea.
